34 years ago, Paul and Karen Hamer purchased an empty barley field where the Highwood and Sheep River meet, in the heart of the Foothills. They had a vision for something special and over the next 3 decades, they poured their heart and passion into creating The Saskatoon Farm.
With horticulture backgrounds and a dream to live and work in the countryside, Paul and Karen began to plant every tree and shrub and build every structure from the ground up. Over time, the Farm has continued to expand from these humble beginnings to the current amazing expanse of gorgeous landscapes and buildings. Today, you will find multiple greenhouses full of plants and flowers, a beautiful old-fashioned street with unique gift shops full of eclectic treasures, a restaurant with an outdoor patio, a seasonal Farmer’s Market with local and organic veggies, an annual U-Pick for berry-picking, and so much more.
